This policy explains how MyRoomee collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the platform. We use your information only to make listings work — and we never sell it.

What we collect
Your name and email from Google or email sign-in. Your phone number and country, which you add when completing your profile. A photo of your face taken with your camera for verification. Your location (GPS or zip code), plus the listing details, photos, and information you choose to publish. Referral codes when you choose to share one.
Contact numbers & Contact Me
A listing's contact number is only shown to signed-in users. When you press "Contact Me" on a listing, your name, photo, phone number, and country are shared with that listing's owner so they can contact you about the room or house. The owner sees this information only so they can reach you — we do not use it for any other purpose.
How we use it
Only to run listings, show you listings near your location, manage "Contact Me" requests, handle reports, credit referrals, manage blog content, and notify you about security changes. We never sell, rent, or use your information for any other reason.
Location
Your location (GPS, or the zip code or address you enter) is used to find listings near you. When you post a listing, the location you choose is shown on a map. Your location is only used for search when you ask for it and is not stored for any other purpose.
Services we rely on
Authentication and database hosting (Lovable Cloud), image hosting for uploaded photos (ImgBB), map lookups and map display for addresses (OpenStreetMap/Nominatim), Google sign-in, and advertising, which may use cookies. These are used only to operate the platform; we do not otherwise share your information with them.
Retention & deletion
Listings marked "rented" are automatically deleted after one week. Suspended listings are hidden from public search. When you delete your account, your profile and listings are removed.
Your control
You can edit or delete your own listings at any time. You can view the "Contact Me" requests you have sent and the client list you have received. You can request account deletion, which removes your profile and listings.
Tracking
We do not track you across other sites beyond what the advertising script requires.
Age
MyRoomee is not intended for children under 16.
